The French Partridge is not well known to US Fly Tiers, but they are popular amongst the European fly tiers. This is a good material for many wet fly patterns. The skin has a wide range of usable feathers, particualy the neck hackles and back plumage. French Partridge is an extremely versatile fly tying material – whether for tying large wet flies or smaller soft hackles, you won't be disappointed with the uniqueness of these feathers. The feathers are easy to use because they have a thin stem making it easy to tie and wrap as hackle.
